Home Tour: Alex's Star Wars Bedroom

A year ago we moved from Kentucky to Georgia and we've been hard at work making our new house a home ever since. Considering the boys are getting older, I wanted to create bedroom spaces that they wouldn't outgrow for awhile. Alex is obsessed with Star Wars like most kids his age, so the goal was to create a modern bedroom for a pre-teen that reflected his love for a galaxy far, far away. • Chewbacca Twin Duvet Set by Snurk, eBay, $69.99 Alex's bed is a full, but since this only comes in a twin size we made it work. The Chewbacca and Darth Vader Star Wars duvet sets were created as a special collaboration between Snurk and JCrew. They are currently available on eBay. Fun fact: Snurk is a Netherlands-based brand and means "to snore" in Dutch.

• May the Force be with You Decal by Home Sweet Walls, Etsy, $8.99 Inspired by a hotel we stayed at when we visited DC — Hotel Hive. They have motivational decals in each room similar to the one we placed above Alex's door. After all, who doesn't need a little inspiration as they walk out of their room to start each day?
